Blackshere Beauty is a creative-directed beauty studio in Brooklyn. We specialize in brows, lashes, makeup, hair, and permanent brow artistry — all delivered with the same standard: you should look like yourself, elevated.
About
Blackshere Beauty is built more like an editorial studio than a traditional salon. Here, we design a result that photographs beautifully and still feels natural in real life. Our signature aesthetic is natural glam. Soft yet, precise enhancement. You leave looking like you – with more of what you already have. We create artistry that allows you to enjoy your gala, spa, zoom call and hiking trips. Our enhancements are wearable as well as impactful.
Our goal is to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for you. We want to assist you to look and feel great!
Starr Blackshere
Our Founder, Starr, identifies as, “Artist” and “Beauty Geek”. There is no beauty education she will not pursue. Mastery in any technique is her desire, as she has invested her entire life to the advancement of her skills. Brow mastery has always been her special gift, but Starr always desires for all to know that she is a masterful Makeup Artist, Licensed Cosmetologist and Licensed Tattoo Artist.
Starr takes her craft very seriously as it has afforded her to travel the world accompanying many well known celebrities, contribute beauty looks for over a decade for runway shows and couture designers during New York Fashion Week as well as manage cosmetic retail stores to deepen her level of business experience in the beauty sector.
Starr created Blackshere Beauty with her husband, “Bestie” and business partner, MarkAnthony Destin. Together they share a passion for beauty, problem solving and making others look and feel good!
Jenai Skye
Jenai (pronounced Jen-AY) is a multi disciplinary Makeup Artist who specializes in creative beauty enhancing lash sets and eyebrow artistry. Jenai has studied aesthetics at the Aveda Institute where she acquired deeper knowledge on skincare, facials and hair removing technique. Jenai knows how to enhance beauty for every individual. Jenai enjoys human connections and is passionate about her craft!

Keturah
Keturah is a cut, color, and extension specialist at Blackshere Beauty. Under Blackshere’s creative direction, she delivers hair that feels expensive but lived-in — polished, wearable, and editorially chic. She creates clean lines and natural movement that photographs effortlessly. At the studio, Keturah is infamously known for her relaxing shampoos and the wealth of hair care knowledge she shares freely.
